About Fanni

Hi! My name is Fanni, I study in Denmark. I am in IB2 right now, but my chemsitry expertise far exceeds the IB level, as I demonstrated by scoring national top 5 in Denmark and Hungary too. I love studying about science, reading books and hiking. I am a tutor working for my school on Tuesdays and Wednesday, and I also started an Chemistry Olympiad preparation course for high-schoolers, where I teach them about chemistry in the Danish Olympiad. I hope to find other platforms where I can help people who are looking for some extra knowledge.

About your lesson

I can help with the IB curriculum, both IB1 and IB2, as well as other chemistry curricula. My way of teaching consists mainly of getting the student to understand the topic, using visual elements while I describe the theory. During this, I find it really important to have some "brain-breaks", by sharing some fun facts about the topic, or looking at some interesting ideas that could make the student recollect their curiosity. Afterwards, it is essential that the newly gained knowledge is applied and the student experiences how to reach and use the information they just learnt, so we will look at practice questions that they can solve with some guidence if needed. This reinforces the student in their confidence as and strenghtens their memory.
