About Georgie
Achieving 44/45 in the IB meant I had mastered my subjects' respective curricula by developing my own revision style. I am motivated to share these revision and tuition tricks with students to maximise their success. An example of my experience can be demonstrated by a student who went from a 6 in her mock to a 9 in her final IGCSE after I tutored her. This success drives me to tutor IB history, by igniting interest in the subject, but also by tailoring sessions to essentially hack the markscheme and the final exam. Achieving a strong 7 in HL Math AA and SL Global Politics, and being one mark off full marks in TOK, I am confident that I will help you/your child optimise their performance in these subjects also.
About your lesson
For History, Global Politics and TOK, I aim to teach the syllabus content, help plan essays according to the structures and tricks that got me strong 7s/A, go through example answers together, and mark the student's essays constructively. This will ensure that the students are confident with the course's content and how to apply it in the exam to maximise their marks. For Math AA, I will teach the course content while ensuring a foundational understanding of the respective concepts being taught. Confidence in the topics will be founded initially using the textbook questions that helped me achieve a strong 7, followed by working through exam-style questions where I will point out tricks that I discovered when doing the course.
